Restaurant Hostess/Host - Splendido a Belmond Hotel Portofino

we are looking for a Restaurant Hostess/host to join the team at our Terrazza Restaurant.

The candidate should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills. The primary objective is to provide a friendly, attentive, and timely service and to create an exceptional experience for all our guests.  

The candidate reports to Restaurant Manager.

Main Duties & Responsabilities:

• Warmly welcome and greet all guests upon arrival, anticipating their needs and ensuring a positive first impression;
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently, using reservation systems, and handle walk-in guests professionally;
• Accompany guests to their tables, ensuring proper seating arrangements and considering special requests;    
• Effectively communicate with the service team, kitchen, and management regarding guest flow, special requests, and any potential issues;
• Handle guest inquiries and special requests with grace and efficiency, resolving minor issues promptly or escalating as necessary;
• Assist in maintaining the overall ambiance of the dining area, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup;
• Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards, upholding Belmond's commitment to luxury hospitality.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment; ·       Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural warm and engaging personality;
• A sophisticated and polished appearance, reflecting the luxury standards of Belmond;
• Proven ability to manage reservations systems and seating arrangements efficiently;
• A proactive and intuitive approach to guest service, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations;
• Fluency in Italian and English is essential; knowledge of other languages (French, German, Russian) is a significant advantage;
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering world-class service.
  

• We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 4,  Restaurant Hostess;
• Start date: June 2026 to End date: November 2026, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido and a career path; 
• Monthly gross salary 1700€ + separate payslip for 13°,14° and TFR; 
• Welfare incentive based on quality goals; 
• Accomodation in double room our staff house including breakfast;
