About this role

Let’s be honest, acquisitions are exciting. They are also occasionally a technical treasure hunt where the treasure is “where are the passwords?” and the map was last updated during a different geological era.

That is where you come in.

We’re looking for an Integration Specialist to help bring newly acquired businesses and clients into the First Focus environment. You’ll work across systems discovery, tool deployment, documentation, migrations, monitoring, and Go-Live readiness, basically helping turn “newly acquired technical mystery box” into “supported, secure, visible, and not held together by one heroic spreadsheet.”

You’ll need strong working knowledge of core MSP systems like RMM, antivirus, monitoring, backup, documentation platforms, remote access tools, and secure credential management. You’ll also need the calm, practical mindset of someone who can look at a tangled environment and say, “Right, let’s make this boring,” which in IT is a compliment of the highest order.

About First Focus

First Focus is Australia’s leading mid-market MSP, with almost 500 people across Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. We’ve been growing for over 15 years, which in MSP years is approximately 400, especially if you count printer tickets.

Our culture is built around being informed, aligned, supported, and rewarded for doing great work. We care a lot about our values, especially Be The Solution, which fits this role beautifully.

You can read more about them here: https://www.firstfocus.com.au/about-us/

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help integrate newly acquired client environments into First Focus systems, standards, and support.
You’ll be:

  • Running technical discovery across servers, endpoints, networks, applications, users, and third-party systems
  • Deploying First Focus tools across RMM, AV, monitoring, backup, patching, remote access, and reporting
  • Moving clients away from legacy MSP tools, ideally without leaving ghost agents lurking in the shadows
  • Documenting environments clearly in IT Glue and other First Focus systems
  • Importing and securing credentials in PasswordState and approved secure systems
  • Supporting Go-Live readiness, clean handovers, and internal team collaboration
  • Spotting risks, gaps, oddities, and those delightful “why is it like that?” moments

What good looks like

You’ll know you’re doing well when:

  • First Focus tools are deployed accurately and on time
  • Discovery work is thorough, useful, and not just “probably fine”
  • Documentation is clear enough that future teams do not need a shovel and torch
  • Credentials are secure, complete, and ready before Go-Live
  • Monitoring, backups, and asset visibility are in place before support takes over
  • Service Delivery gets a clean handover with minimal mystery
  • Internal teams trust you because you communicate early, clearly, and without unnecessary drama

What you’ll bring

You’ll probably be a strong fit if you have:

  • Experience in MSP, technical operations, systems administration, infrastructure support, projects, or client onboarding
  • Strong understanding of RMM, AV, monitoring, backup, remote access, patching, and documentation tools
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server, endpoints, networks, firewalls, backup systems, and common business applications
  • Good discovery and audit skills, with the confidence to ask smart questions
  • Strong documentation habits, the useful kind, not the “see screenshot” kind with no screenshot
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical people
  • A practical security mindset around credentials, access control, and legacy tool removal
  • A steady, problem-solving approach when environments are messy, incomplete, or clearly built during someone’s difficult week

Bonus points for experience with tools like RapidFire, ConnectWise, RMM platforms, IT Glue, PasswordState, backup platforms, endpoint security tools, and monitoring systems.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Hybrid working arrangements
  • Day shift, weekends off*
  • 25 paid leave days annually
  • HMO from day 1, plus 1 dependent (spouse) with dental cover
  • Free access to Uprise, including 1:1 coaching with qualified psychologists or counsellors
  • “Never Stop Growing”: 10 paid study days per year, exam paid, and pay rises for certifications (conditions apply)
  • Employee referral program worth ₱20,000
  • MVP award worth ₱10,000
  • Social events, End-of-FY parties, and Christmas parties
  • Loyalty bonuses*
  • A team that values clear communication, ownership, and solving things properly, not just kicking problems into next Tuesday
