The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper’s cutting-edge, 55,000 square foot facility offers a full continuum of care, ranging from detox and inpatient rehab to outpatient sessions.

The Assistant Clinical Director is responsible for providing 24-hour management of all clinical functions of the facility, in conjunction with the Clinical Director. Together with the Clinical Director, the Assistant CD is responsible for providing effective leadership to the clinical staff, has knowledge of the organization, provides marketing support for the facility, and directs all activities within the facility in accordance with standards of State and Federal regulations.

 

CORE JOB DUTIES:

Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the
following:

  • Assists Clinical Director in developing effective clinical programming and ensures staff compliance to the curriculum.
  • Assists Clinical Director with proficiently auditing documentation to ensure compliance to company policy, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, ASAM standards, and Medical
    Needs Criteria. This Includes:
    a. Biopsychosocial Assessment (72 hours)
    b. Comprehensive Problem List
    c. Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates (24 – 72 hours based on payor)
    d. ASAMs (24 hours, based on state standards)
    e. Individual, family and group therapy session notes (24 hours)
    f. Discharge Summary (72 hours)
  • Uses substance abuse and co-occurring therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans goals and objectives and successfully complete treatment.
  • Provide and monitors group therapy sessions to ensure quality programming is delivered and to ensure compliance to the program curriculum.
  • Assesses patient for substance use disorders, risk to self or others and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Effectively manage a 50% caseload.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to clinicians.
  • Review and sign off on documentation as directed by Clinical Director.
  • Works closely with the Clinical Director to ensure all clinical staff are meeting 92% compliance on facility metrics. Provides at least twice monthly feedback/coaching sessions with staff to improve lagging metrics.
  • Monitors staff’s performance, providing coaching and discipline as needed to ensure peakperformance.
  • Identifies areas for improvement within the department by analyzing data and developing, implementing, and documenting plans for improvement and outcomes.
  • Provides Clinical Supervision to clinicians who are not independently licensed/certified.
  • Provides trainings to Clinical department and other department as required by Clinical Director.

OTHER REQUIRED TASKS:

  • Assists Clinical Director to ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Assists Clinical Director with meeting with all employees at least bi-monthly to provide feedback on documentation and therapeutic performance and to provide guidance and coaching as needed.
  • Assists Clinical Director to effectively monitor staff’s performance, providing coaching and discipline as needed to ensure peak performance.
  • Leads Daily Flash Meetings in the absence of the Clinical Director.
  • Leads Clinical Staff Meetings in the absence of the Clinical Director.
  • Assists the Clinical Director to recruit and hire clinical team members.
  • Maintains positive relationships with all staff.
  • Creates a positive environment for staff.
  • Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
  • Participates in administrative duties to include but not limited to group scheduling, service time, auditing assigned by Clinical Director.
  • Performs other tasks, as assigned.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related human services field.

 

Credentials:

  • Independently licensed in the State of practice required in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health counselor or other behavioral health related fields
    • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
    • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
    • LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
    • LCADC (Licensed Clniical Alcohol & Drug Counselor)

And

  • CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) required.

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ of work experience in mental health field required.

 

Knowledge AND Training Requirements:

  • Knowledge of JC standards.
  • Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of the discipline.
  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding
  • Patient Confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Violence

Starting Salary Range: $93k+

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 830am to 5pm. On call responsibility as needed.
