Job Summary
The Greeter is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by offering a warm welcome, assisting with customer inquiries, and creating a positive and inviting atmosphere as customers enter the store. The Greeter may also be called upon to assist with cash transactions and support merchandisers as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.
2. Assist customers by providing information, directions, or answering their questions about store layout and product locations.
3. Responsible for actively promoting and highlighting brand promotions to maximize customer engagement and sales.
4. Collaborate with Sales Team and Brand Managers to actively support brand awareness campaigns and initiatives.
5. Responsible for ensuring store carts are organized at the entrances and exits of the store and collected from the parking lot.
6. Engage with customers to make them feel valued and appreciated, enhancing their overall shopping experience.
7. When required, assist with cash transactions at the point of sale, accurately processing payments and ensuring a smooth checkout process.
8. Provide support to merchandisers as needed, including helping with product restocking, maintaining displays, and ensuring the sales floor is visually appealing.
9. Be vigilant in identifying and reporting any suspicious activity or potential theft to store management or security personnel.
10. Assist in keeping the store hazard-free and ensure that safety guidelines are adhered to, reporting any potential safety concerns.
11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a well-maintained and organized sales floor and provide seamless customer service.
12. Act as a friendly and approachable point of contact for customer comments, complaints, or inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or personnel for resolution.
13. Keep appropriate records relating to the discharge of his/her responsibilities.
14. Executes any other duty assigned by management.
Organizational Relationships
This position reports to the Store Supervisor and indirectly to the Store Manager. He/she interfaces regularly with the dispensary, sales, Consumer Sales and Marketing staff.
Requirements - Education and Experience
He/she must have a high school diploma or general education certificate and preferably one year’s work experience. Basic understanding of the retail industry is desirable. He/she must be a self-motivated team player, have a professional demeanor with reasonable communication skills.
