About this role
Position Summary
In this role the Clinician supports DMH involved adults in four ACCS residential programs as well as other clinical support needs for programs within the Division of Recovery Services. Utilizing clinical assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with staff and external partners, the Clinician assists with identifying support needs and creating and executing supportive interventions. This role ensures that all documentation meets contract and agency standards while promoting high-quality, evidence-based practices. The position works closely with leadership and program teams to provide training, reduce barriers and support individualized, trauma-informed care in alignment with MHA’s mission, funding requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Pay Rate: $57,000 - $63,000 depending on licensure
Open Shift: Monday through Friday 9am-5pm (40hrs)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strengths-based assessments, treatment plans, and risk assessments tailored to individual participant needs.
- Provide clinical consultation and planning for crisis intervention, behavioral strategies, and medication treatment.
- Conduct thorough case reviews and collaborate with program staff, families, and external providers to develop user-friendly plans and data collection systems.
- Train staff in behavioral interventions, clinical protocols, and data collection methods.
- Participate in team, IAP, risk, and medication meetings to support consistent clinical direction and planning.
- Serve as liaison with contract agencies, families, and community partners to ensure integrated care and communication.
- Facilitate and model psychoeducational and skill-building groups; coach and support direct-care staff.
- Monitor incident reports to identify clinical trends and inform training and support needs.
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention services as needed.
- Supervise clinical interns and support their integration into program services.
About the Division of Recovery Services (DRS)
The Division of Recovery Services (DRS) supports individuals of all ages navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Our youth residential programs provide a safe, structured environment for adolescents involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to address behavioral health needs. For adults, DRS offers residential and outreach support for those in recovery or living with addiction, including many with co-occurring mental health concerns. Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, we help individuals build coping skills, restore stability, and work toward long-term recovery and wellness.

- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and sufficient insurance.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required.
- LCSW, LICSW, LMHC preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience working with individuals with psychiatric disabilities, trauma, substance use and behavioral challenges.
- Strong clinical assessment and planning skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
