We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Quality Engineer with 4–9 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through effective test planning, execution, defect tracking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role requires strong expertise in Manual Testing and API Testing, along with a proactive approach toward identifying quality gaps and improving testing processes.
The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment. Exposure to automation concepts, performance testing, or modern QA tools will be considered a good-to-have advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents to create effective test strategies and test cases.
- Perform comprehensive Manual Testing of web, mobile, or enterprise applications to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
- Conduct API Testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms to validate request/response structures, authentication, and integrations.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing to ensure application stability and quality.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar systems.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues efficiently.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release discussions.
- Develop and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, test reports, and quality metrics.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, testing best practices, and release timelines.
- Support production issue analysis and provide quality assurance insights during deployments and releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–9 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and software testing.
- Strong expertise in Manual Testing methodologies and defect management processes.
- Practical experience in API Testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in writing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with databases and basic SQL queries for data validation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a dynamic environment.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Basic understanding of performance or load testing concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms or microservices architecture.
- Experience working with test management tools and reporting dashboards.
- Understanding of security testing fundamentals and API authentication mechanisms.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
