The Lead Analyst, OT Infrastructure & Compliance is responsible for supporting and operating AES US Renewables OT infrastructure environments with a focus on system reliability, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. This role provides advanced technical support for datacenter and virtualization platforms and supports NERC CIP compliance activities and patch and vulnerability management across NERC‑rated environments.Ā 

The position requires strong technical depth, disciplined documentation practices, and the ability to work independently on complex infrastructure and compliance‑driven initiatives while collaborating across IT, OT, Cybersecurity, and Operations teams.Ā 

Primary ResponsibilitiesĀ Ā 

Infrastructure Engineering & OperationsĀ 

  • Administer and support enterprise OT infrastructure environments, including:Ā Ā 

  • Windows Server and desktop operating systemsĀ 

  • Active Directory, file services, permissions, DNS, and DHCPĀ 

  • Windows Clustering, Hyper V, and VMware platformsĀ Ā 

  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and Omnissa HorizonĀ 

  • Linux operating systemsĀ 

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure incidentsĀ 

  • Maintain system documentation and standardsĀ

NERC CIP Compliance SupportĀ 

  • Support NERC CIP requirementsĀ Ā 

  • Maintain compliance documentation, evidence, and system inventories aligned to CIP standardsĀ 

  • Ensure infrastructure configurations and operational practices align with AES cybersecurity and compliance expectationsĀ 

Ā 

Patch & Vulnerability ManagementĀ Ā 

  • Execute patch and vulnerability management activities for infrastructure systems within NERC rated and secure environmentsĀ 

  • Test, document, and implement software and firmware updates in accordance with compliance requirementsĀ 

  • Track vulnerabilities, remediation actions, and patch status for audit readinessĀ 

  • Support scheduled maintenance windows and controlled change processesĀ 

  • Proactively reduce operational and cybersecurity risk through lifecycle managementĀ

Project & Team CollaborationĀ 

  • Participate in infrastructure and compliance related projects (e.g., virtualization, monitoring, datacenter upgrades)Ā 

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners during implementation and maintenance activitiesĀ 

  • Contribute to infrastructure standards, procedures, and continuous improvement effortsĀ 

  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholdersĀ

Qualifications Ā 

Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology / Computer Science/Engineering) preferred or equivalent with relevant work experience required.Ā Ā 

5+ years’ experience to include:Ā 

  • IT infrastructure administration and engineeringĀ 

  • Strong knowledge of Server Operating Systems, virtualization platforms, networking, and datacenter operationsĀ 

  • Experience working in regulated or compliance driven environmentsĀ 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skillsĀ 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical responsibilitiesĀ 

  • Physical ability to lift and maintain 70 LBS for short period of timeĀ 

  • Ability to climb a ladder over 4 feetĀ 

  • Have reliable transportationĀ Ā 

  • Able to travel up to 25%Ā 

Additional QualificationsĀ Ā 

  • Experience supporting NERC CIP complianceĀ 

  • Experience with patching and vulnerability management in regulated environmentsĀ 

  • Familiarity with IT/OT environmentsĀ Ā 

  • Knowledge of AES infrastructure standards and operational practicesĀ Ā
