Casualty International in AIG is a leading provider of Casualty products and services for commercial insurance customers. It includes one of the world’s most far-reaching casualty networks and offers a broad range of products through a diversified, multichannel distribution network.

How you will create an impact

You will be part of a motivated team of Latin America Casualty Underwriters in a fast growing region within International Casualty of AIG. The role as Casualty Underwriter will predominantly involve: Manage, analyze, assess and quote Casualty General Liability & Environmental risks, small and middle market business in accordance with the AIG guidelines, authorities, strategy, processes and tools:

•      Manage, analyze and defend an existent portfolio of business

•      Build up a profitable book of business

•      Underwrite renewal business to promote premium growth within UW authority.

•      Prepare risk referrals for existing business

•      Handle rater tools and prepare booking instructions

•      Actively participate in group internal meetings to review business goals, define and meet superior      levels of service “SLAs”

•      Keep a good commercial relationship with sales distribution team, agents and brokers

•      Interact & Support other areas requests as needed

What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is eager to learn, takes initiative and ownership, be an ally of the business, good in building internal and external relationships and is flexible in the way of working. We value a diverse background of experience, culture, and thought. Our ideal candidate someone who got previous work experience within insurance, underwriting, risk analysis and has demonstrated superior academic achievement, possesses analytical skills and is a team player. English is required up to an intermediate-advanced level.
