Application Development Lead

職務目的（Job Purpose）

• データウェアハウス（DWH）、顧客データ管理、契約照会データ管理、代理店データ提供システムなどの重要なアプリケーションの開発・管理を主導する。
• Application Development Leadとして、保険事業運営をサポートするアプリケーションの開発ライフサイクル全体を監督し、主に代理店データ提供と契約照会データ管理アプリケーションに重点を置く。
• 開発プロセスにおける生成AI技術の導入を推進し、生産性とコード品質の向上を図りつつ、堅牢で拡張性があり、セキュアなアプリケーションソリューションを確保する。

職責（Job Responsibilities）

アプリケーション開発リーダーシップ:

•主に契約照会用データ、代理店データ提供アプリケーションの開発・管理を主導

• 要件収集から展開・保守までの完全なアプリケーション開発ライフサイクルを監督

• アプリケーションがビジネス要件、パフォーマンス基準、規制遵守を満たすことを確保

チーム協業・プロジェクト管理:

• マルチプロジェクト環境で効果的に作業し、複数の並行開発イニシアティブを管理

• アーキテクト、品質保証チーム、運用チームなどの横断的チームと協業

• 複数の開発ストリームにわたってプロジェクトタイムライン、成果物、リソース配分を調整

パートナーベンダー管理:

• インドベースのオフショア開発ベンダーとの関係を管理（オンサイト窓口はバイリンガル対応）

• オフショアチームとの開発活動、品質基準、成果物を調整

• 技術指導を提供し、オンショア・オフショアチーム間の知識移転を促進

技術革新・AI統合:

• Claude CodeやGitHub Copilotなどの生成AIツールを実装して開発生産性を向上

• 新技術と開発手法の調査・評価

• コード品質とセキュリティ基準を維持しながら、AI支援開発のベストプラクティスを推進

技術開発:

• Java、COBOL、SQL のいずれかの専門知識を活用してアプリケーション開発・システム統合を実施

• 顧客・契約情報の堅牢なデータ管理ソリューションを設計・実装

Job Purpose

• Lead the development and management of critical applications including Data Warehouse (DWH), customer data management, contract inquiry data management, and agent data provisioning systems.
• As an Application Development Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development lifecycle of applications that support our insurance business operations, with a primary focus on agent data provisioning and contract inquiry data management applications.
• Drive the adoption of generative AI technologies in development processes to enhance productivity and code quality while ensuring robust, scalable, and secure application solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Application Development Leadership:

• Lead the development and management of contract inquiry data, and agent data provisioning applications mainly

• Oversee the complete application development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance

• Ensure applications meet business requirements, performance standards, and regulatory compliance

Team Collaboration & Project Management:

• Work effectively in a multi-project environment, managing multiple concurrent development initiatives

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system architects, quality assurance and system operation teams

• Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation across multiple development streams

Partner vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with India-based offshore development vendors (The onsite contact is bilingual)

• Coordinate development activities, quality standards, and deliverables with offshore teams

• Provide technical guidance and ensure knowledge transfer progression between onshore and offshore teams

Technology Innovation & AI Integration:

• Implement generative AI tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to enhance development productivity

• Research and evaluate new technologies and development methodologies

• Promote best practices in AI-assisted development while maintaining code quality and security standards

Technical Development:

• Utilize expertise in Java, COBOL, and/or SQL for application development and system integration

• Design and implement robust data management solutions for customer and contract information

Required Skills and Experiences

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field

Specific Qualifications

Specific Qualifications:

• Language Skills: Proficiency in Japanese (required), English proficiency is highly preferred but not mandatory

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in at least one of Java, COBOL, or SQL with strong understanding of database management

• AI Tools Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with generative AI development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot (preferred)

• Project Management: Experience working in multi-project environments with ability to manage concurrent development initiatives

• Vendor Management: Ability to coordinate with offshore development teams and manage vendor relationships

• Data Management: Understanding of data warehouse concepts, customer data management, and system integration

Total Experience

• 5+ years of experience in application development and system management
• 3+ years of experience in team leadership or project lead roles
• Experience with data warehouse, customer management systems, or insurance-related applications (preferred)
• Experience in multi-project environments and concurrent project management
• Experience with offshore development coordination
