Facilities Technician
About this role
Facilities Technicians perform a variety of maintenance tasks on campus. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Activities depend on skills and experience and may include:
- Performing minor repairs or improvements, such as replacing kick-down door stops or hanging a new paper towel dispenser
- Cleaning and landscaping
- Washing windows
- Cleaning sidewalks and courtyards
- Moving things between different rooms on campus
- Low voltage communication wiring
- Performing minor electrical or plumbing work
This assignment is considered a temporary, as-needed position, meaning it has no set hours per week and may end at any time. No experience is required, but compensation will be determined by experience level and the actual work to be performed. Specific hours worked will be mutually agreed upon.ย
