Job Description

 

Summary
The Financial Analyst III is responsible for the development and maintenance of program financial plans in support of multiple products and business areas. This role also supports revenue tracking, forecasting accuracy, and financial execution by partnering closely with Program Management, Planning, Operations, and Finance teams. The position operates in a dynamic environment, ensuring alignment between operational activity and financial outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports execution of program financial plans and forecasts by partnering with Program Finance, Planning, Operations, and Subcontracts to ensure alignment between operational activity and financial outcomes
  • Acts as a liaison between Finance, Planning, Operations, and Program Management to ensure alignment across teams
  • Monitors progress of program requirements
  • Tracks and analyzes cost and revenue performance against plan, identifying key drivers and variances 
  • Supports accrual-related analysis by tracking inventory, WIP, and operational movements that impact financial reporting
  • Prepares financial analysis and reporting to support internal stakeholders and leadership visibility
  • Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government procurement regulations
  • Monitors progress of program requirements
  • Conducts complex financial analysis (variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis, etc.)
  • Performs non-routine analysis and prepares non-routine financial reports
  • Identifies and drives process improvements across reporting, tracking tools, and data flows to improve accuracy and efficiency 
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 5 - 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, or reporting in a program finance, operations finance, or FP&A environment 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including ability to work with large datasets and complex models 
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise data environments (e.g., Oracle)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 


Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Experience in project controls and/or financial planning in a government contracting environment is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of Government Cost accounting principles and FAR preferred
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and operational or transactional data and understanding financial impacts of business activities preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively across Finance, Planning, and Operations teams 
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where priorities may shift and processes may evolve 
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

The salary range for this role is:

$89,000 - $126,000
