Closed Molded Infusion Technician
About this role
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Infusion Technician is responsible for the proper glass thickness and glass-to-resin ratio on infused: small parts, lids, consoles, finders, stringers, decks, and hulls. The technician is also responsible for ensuring the quality of the finished part and providing leadership for the crew.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Distributes properly catalyzed resin evenly into injection ports.
- Helps train new team members as well as helping all team members stay focused and motivated.
- Ensures the crew starts up on time at the beginning of the shift.
- Observes and adjusts the catalyst level as environmental conditions require.
- Performs daily cleaning and minor maintenance routines of equipment, spray guns, and bags.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required:ย ย High School Diploma or Equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Ability to work as a Team
- Ability to read and follow written Instruction
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Coordination simultaneously
- Ability to distinguish basic colors/shades
- Hearing (aid permitted)
- Must have no fiberglass allergies
