About This Role

The Associate Director of Strategy and Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the US Market Access & Reimbursement (MA&R) organization is positioned to deliver on its strategy and business priorities by driving alignment, preparedness, and operational discipline. This role will partner closely with cross-functional leaders across Commercial, Franchises, Medical, and Finance, to support strategic planning, meeting preparation, and operating rhythm execution.

This position is designed to be the strategic operator and integrator for the MA&R team, driving day-to-day coordination, synthesizing cross-functional inputs, preparing high-quality executive materials, and ensuring timely execution of deliverables. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Strategy and Operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic & Operating Rhythm Support
    • Partner with the Head of Strategy & Ops to run the MA&R operating model, including standing leadership forums and performance/execution updates
    • Lead meeting preparation: develop agendas, synthesize updates, draft executive-ready pre-reads, and coordinate follow-ups and action tracking
    • Maintain and manage performance related trackers and milestone dashboards
    • Ensure clear alignment and timely execution across cross functional groups.
  • Budget, Resourcing & Operational Tracking
    • Support the operational budget process, and tracking and coordination of the Market Access functional budget, in partnership with finance, SD of Strat & Ops, and LT
    • Track deliverables, performance indicators, and operational progress needed for executive reviews
  • Operational Excellence & Execution
    • Drive continuous improvement of business processes to enable execution across MA&R
    • Identify and remove barriers to execution across access, pricing, reimbursement, and payer engagement strategies
    • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives that enable payer readiness and sustained access performance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in consulting, pharmaceutical operations, market access, or related biopharma roles
  • Proven business acumen (e.g., MBA, business leadership experience, or equivalent)
  • Strong planning, project management, and cross-functional coordination capabilities
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with ability to produce boardroom-ready materials (decision-oriented pre-reads, executive summaries, and complex cross-functional syntheses)
  • Negotiation and influence skills, with the ability to drive alignment among cross-functional stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and secure commitments without formal authority
  • Ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear, actionable storylines
  • Experience preparing materials for senior leadership forums
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong accountability mindset with a track record of driving execution
  • Proficiency with business tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience in Market Access & Reimbursement, including payer strategy, pricing, etc.
  • Experience and deep understanding of healthcare ecosystems
  • Experience supporting product launches or major access initiatives
  • Change management experience in complex organizations

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $164,000.00-$226,000.00


Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
