In this role, you'll work alongside clients as they develop the skills, confidence, and resources needed to achieve their recovery goals, improve daily functioning, and live more independently. Through community-based support, advocacy, care coordination, and skill development, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact in the lives of individuals and families every day.

Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, or a related field are strongly preferred. We also welcome applicants with relevant experience and alternative qualifying credentials who are passionate about supporting individuals on their recovery journey.

What You'll Do
As a Community Support Specialist, you'll work directly with individuals in their homes, communities, and other natural settings to help them achieve their treatment and recovery goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized, community-based behavioral health support services
- Assisting clients in developing life skills, coping strategies, and independent living skills
- Coordinating care with healthcare providers, schools, community agencies, and support systems
- Supporting clients through a strengths-based, person-centered approach
- Utilizing evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, CBT, and DBT techniques
- Facilitating Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) groups and skill-building activities
- Advocating for client needs and connecting individuals with community resources
- Maintaining timely and accurate documentation of services provided
- Participating in ongoing professional development and team collaboration
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:β
A bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or a related human service field;
OR...A high school diploma / GED and 5 years supervised clinical experience in mental health or human services.

Self-motivated and organized
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Ability to navigate and coordinate community-based resources
Proficiency in written communication, with the ability to complete documentation accurately and within prescribed timeframes.
