How You Will Make an Impact

• Provides leadership and technical expertise in mechanical maintenance. Perform as a maintenance technician in the diagnosing, maintenance, repair, installation of manufacturing equipment.

• Responds to escalated problems and perform equipment repairs as required.

• Has lead responsibilities in special events, such as major turnarounds at plants and may lead a group of in-house maintenance technicians and/or outside contractors during this time. In larger facilities, may have on-going lead responsibilities.

• Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor/ Manager or Maintenance Planners to identify trends and contributes to the development of inspection and maintenance schedules.

• Uses the computer to maintain records pertaining to maintenance activity and spare parts inventory.

• May participate in spare parts management.

• Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements. Keeps work areas clean.

What You Will Bring to Cabot

• Knowledge and experience of mechanical maintenance and repair procedures and methods.

• Knowledge of manufacturing machines and tools including their design and uses.

• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, instructions; ability to use shop power tools.

• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment.

• Flexibility in performing changing assignments; ability to work off shift and after hours as needed.

• Vocational/technical, mechanical school and completed (certified) apprenticeship required.

• 3-5 years of experience.
