About the Role:
The EHS Specialist serves as an experienced individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that are complex in nature and that support and enhance for SPM facility performance and compliance.

What Will You Do (may include but not limited to):

  • Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.

  • Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.

  • Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.

  • Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement


What You Will Have:

  • Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner to build effective interpersonal relationships

  • Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Overcoming Resistance to Change: Understanding and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment.

  • Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.

 

 

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
