Engineering/Maintenance Coordinator
About this role
Quality Agents, LLC provides validation and quality expertise to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Our Engineering/Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the client's Calibration program for in-house calibrations as well as managing external suppliers for calibration services. Serves as administrator for Preventative Maintenance program, ensuring goals are met within the compliance timeframe. Also serves as backup resource to primary Maintenance Technicians. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manages calibration program to ensure instruments and equipment are properly calibrated per the required schedule;
- Maintains calibration database for tracking items in the calibration program and performs daily tasks utilizing calibration software in order to ensure compliance;
- Manages external calibration vendors for outsourced calibration of more advanced items;
- Responsible for improving the calibration program and procudures while implementing improved methodology and new procedures controlling the calibration process;
- Identifies, sources and implements new equipment and technology for calibration program and facilities;
- Identifies targets for in-house calibration in order to maintain cost control;
- Works closely with other team members having responsibility for new equipment technology to ensure that instruments with advanced process controls and reporting are identified and sourced as needed;
- Administers Preventative Maintenance program;
- Compiles and presents monthly reports to demonstrate compliance for both Calibration and Preventative programs;
- Performs routine preventative maintenance activities on specific types of equipment and provides unscheduled maintenance support as needed.
Skill Level and Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or higher) in a technical discipline or advance training in metrology
- At least 2 years metrology experience
- Must demonstrate initiative and require minimal supervision
- Prior experience in a maintenance/calibration role preferred
- Prior experience in a GMP manufacturing environment preferred
