The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets at Port Hawkesbury Paper. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and enforce access control procedures for employees, contractors, and visitors.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement is an asset.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a security role, preferably in an industrial or mill environment.
- Strong observational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Professional, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Familiarity with basic security technology (e.g., surveillance systems, access control) is an asset.
