About this role

Reedsburg Area Medical Center is looking for a RN to join us in our Birth Center! 


Hours: 7PM-7AM

(2) 12-hour night shifts a week 

Every third weekend

Every other holiday



Position Summary: The RN coordinates patient care with multi-disciplinary team members to facilitate health promotion and continuity of care in a cost efficient manner.  Provides direct nursing care to individuals patients and assists patient family as directed by the nursing and medical plan of care utilizing the nursing process and according to the standards and guidelines established by professional nursing organizations.  The RN communicates with the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team members to provide up-to-date information, promotes effective coping behaviors, and evaluates the patient's response to implemented care.  Patient populations cared for include, newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.


Education and Training Required: 

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.

Current RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin.

BLS, ACLS, ALSO, NRP, EFM certified.

Advanced Certification preferred.

Meets health requirements.

Experience
:
 

Graduate nursing students from an accredited 2 year or 4 year program required. 

 1-2 years obstetric experience preferred.

Bilingual preferred, but not required.


Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
:
 

Ability to work in a fast paced patient environment with appropriate technological support. Must be able to deal with multiple priorities in a calm matter. Requires decision-making, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Recognizes legal responsibilities and functions as specified by Nurse Practice Act.
