DuBois Chemicals Canada is looking to hire a high-achieving sales professional to maintain and develop the Industrial Water Treatment business within the great Montreal area. Responsible for growing and maintaining our business in this region and is required to have a successful history of cold-calling, prospecting, and creating new business.

The sales representative will work as part of the sales and growth team to maintain and increase business and long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers in our Industrial Water Treatment business unit. Our sales representatives are resolute and passionately focused on providing value added and process solutions that meet or exceed the expectations of our customers. The sales representative should be an initiative-taker and enjoying to work in an entrepreneurial environment focused on solving/resolving customer problems. Demonstrate the company’s core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity & ethics, lean & safety, and passion to succeed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers in our Industrial Water Treatment Business unit

  • Create new business growth through generating leads, building relationships and prospecting in a large market with market share upside.

  • Manage key accounts of mid-sized and large accounts with an opportunity for increased wallet share with existing customers.

  • Remain informed about market trends, competitor offerings and industry developments.

  • Thoroughly understand the products or services being sold to effectively answer customer questions and demonstrate value.

  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.

  • Problem-solving, value-added selling process with focus on winning and retaining customers and repeat consumable business.

  • Track all sales activities, generating reports and analyzing sales data.

  • Negotiate and closes sales contracts and agreements to achieve sales targets.

  • Strong customer emphasis on reducing total costs, improving production quality, and achieving Health, Safety and Environmental goals and objectives.

  • Effectively communicate customer needs and requirements to all functional areas of the company to ensure that efforts are coordinated resulting in rapid organic sales growth.

  • Effectively achieve individual and teams’ sales goals.

  • Collaborate with the Research & Development (R&D) technical team to develop selling opportunities and account management.

  • Travel to current and prospective customers to develop relationships and grow sales.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both in French and in English
  • 5+ years of sales experience in Industrial Water Treatment.

  • Proven effectiveness in identifying leads, prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering effective presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships.

  • High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow.

  • Effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to understand new product lines and utilize knowledge to present to customers.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

  • Demonstrated sales and territory management skills.

  • Ability to travel for different trade shows & other activities.

  • Ability to perform technical/mechanical on-site testing.

  • Candidates should currently reside within the great Montreal area

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Business field preferred

  • DĂ©velopper des relations Ă  long terme avec un portefeuille de clients dans le secteur des produits chimiques de traitement des eaux.
  • GĂ©nĂ©rer de nouvelles opportunitĂ©s commerciales en gĂ©nĂ©rant des prospects, en Ă©tablissant des relations et en prospectant sur un marchĂ© important prĂ©sentant un fort potentiel de croissance.
  • GĂ©rer les comptes clĂ©s des moyennes et grandes entreprises, en identifiant les opportunitĂ©s d'augmentation de la part de marchĂ© auprès des clients existants.
  • Se tenir informĂ©(e) des tendances du marchĂ©, des offres concurrentes et des Ă©volutions du secteur.
  • MaĂ®triser parfaitement les produits ou services proposĂ©s afin de rĂ©pondre efficacement aux questions des clients et d'en dĂ©montrer la valeur ajoutĂ©e.
  • Garantir la livraison rĂ©ussie et dans les dĂ©lais impartis de nos solutions, en adĂ©quation avec les besoins et objectifs des clients.
  • Mettre en Ĺ“uvre une approche de vente axĂ©e sur la rĂ©solution de problèmes et la crĂ©ation de valeur ajoutĂ©e, en privilĂ©giant l'acquisition et la fidĂ©lisation de la clientèle et la gĂ©nĂ©ration de commandes rĂ©currentes.
  • Suivre l'ensemble des activitĂ©s commerciales, gĂ©nĂ©rer des rapports et analyser les donnĂ©es de vente.
  • NĂ©gocier et conclure des contrats et accords commerciaux afin d'atteindre les objectifs de vente.
