Summary of the Job:
About This Role:
- Develop enterprise integration and API strategy and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Lead and evolve the Integration / API Center of Excellence to drive standardization, governance, and best practices across the organization
- Establish and maintain enterprise integration patterns, reference architectures, and reusable frameworks to support modernization efforts
- Evolve API and integration standards, governance frameworks, and best practices in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture team
- Champion design-first / contract-first API development methodologies and mentor teams on modern integration patterns
- Implement monitoring, observability, analytics, and lifecycle management processes across APIs and integration platforms
- Develop and govern asynchronous/event-driven integration patterns, including event schema standards and streaming architectures
- Lead adoption and optimization of API management platforms and developer enablement capabilities (e.g., API portals, discovery, self-service)
- Partner with engineering and product teams to design and implement scalable integration solutions that align with enterprise architecture strategy
- Provide thought leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to architects and engineering teams
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in software development and/or architecture
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
- Deep understanding of integration patterns, API management, and distributed systems design
- Proven experience implementing and governing event-driven architecture and asynchronous integration patterns
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for integration platforms
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred) and cloud-native deployment models
- Strong understanding of API security, including OAuth, JWT, and related best practices
- Experience with API testing, validation, and OpenAPI specifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or contributing to an API / Integration Center of Excellence
- Experience defining enterprise API maturity models or integration frameworks
- Experience with API management platforms (e.g., MuleSoft or similar)
- Experience with developer portals and improving API discoverability and developer experience
- Knowledge of banking systems, payments, or financial services technology
- Experience integrating identity and access management solutions (OAuth, OIDC, SAML)
- Familiarity with containerization, service mesh, and cloud-native architecture patterns
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide adoption of integration standards

Compensation range (base pay): $107,552.00-$182,838.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
