About This Role:
Job Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java/React/AWS web applications and services according to business requirements
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and implement technical requirements
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Create and execute test plans to ensure software quality and reliability
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Document technical specifications, designs, and processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for development processes and tools
- Maintain a service-oriented approach, prioritizing business needs and end-user experience
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to the financial services sector
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience
- Java Spring Boot Experience
- React Native Experience
- Experience deploying applications in AWS
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
- Strong service mindset with focus on delivering business value
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Desired:
- Financial services industry experience preferred but not required
- Experience utilizing AI engineering tools to accelerate software development pipelines preferred
- Experience with AWS Native development preferred but not required
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work environment - Primarily sitting at a desk for extended periods
- Computer use - Prolonged screen time and keyboard/mouse operation
- Visual focus - Extended periods viewing monitors/displays
- Manual dexterity - Ability to use keyboard, mouse, and other input devices
- Occasional standing/walking - Moving between meetings or work areas
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $79,363.00-$130,949.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Work Environment:
It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are.
