Shift:

The regular hours for this position are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 6:00am to 6:15pm.

Job Description:

The Assembly & Test Technician II performs intermediate‑level mechanical, electrical, and test operations to support the production and evaluation of probe cards and related electronic hardware. This role requires hands‑on mechanical skills, familiarity with precision measurement tools, an understanding of electronic theory at the component level, and the ability to follow detailed technical instructions. The technician supports daily production activities, executes test processes, and contributes to troubleshooting efforts under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety, Quality & Documentation

  • Strictly follow all Safety, ESD, and Quality protocols within the work area.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail regarding cleanroom requirements and contamination‑control practices.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and perform data entry based on test results and production outputs.

  • Interpret and follow Work Instructions, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and special test procedures.

Mechanical Assembly & Precision Handling

  • Perform mechanical assembly of stiffeners, PCBAs, interposers, hardware, and associated electronic components.

  • Use hand tools, tweezers, torque devices, dial indicators, microscopes, and digital meters to perform precise mechanical adjustments.

  • Conduct microscope‑based inspection of hardware and micro‑components to ensure alignment and assembly accuracy.

Electrical Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Set up tester equipment to perform electrical testing and casualty analysis of probe cards.

  • Apply knowledge of electronic theory and components to investigate and resolve test failures.

  • Conduct basic troubleshooting down to the component level using ohm, capacitance, and voltage measurements.

  • Perform adjustments to probe cards to achieve proper planarity (flatness) of array structures.

Process Control & Data Analysis

  • Perform data analysis and understand Statistical Process Control (SPC) metrics across processing steps.

  • Ensure test results, measurements, and observations are properly recorded and communicated.

Team Collaboration & Production Support

  • Work as part of a shift‑based production team to meet daily output targets.

  • Operate both independently and as a team contributor to support ongoing production and engineering activities.

  • Assist engineers and higher‑level technicians with experiments, evaluation builds, and process improvements.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed inside a cleanroom environment requiring the use of protective clothing (smock, gloves, hairnet, etc.).

  • Frequent microscope work for detailed inspection and adjustments.

  • Regular use of hand tools and precision measurement instruments.

  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull light materials as needed to support daily production activities.

Pay Range:

$22.10 - $29.03

Pay Range Explained:

This role in Livermore, California pays between $22.10 and $29.03 per hour, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You’ll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
