Team Summary
Founded in 2000, GAF Myerstown manufactures residential asphalt shingles. Our workforce is
highly skilled and extremely dedicated - 50% of our 150 employees have been here for at

Job Summary
The Material Receiver is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and preparation of materials
Essential Duties
- Unloading all mat rolls and storing them in the mat area
- Responsible for loading trucks with rolls, supplies, and return materials
- Keeping accurate records of deliveries
- Prepare trailers for unloading
- Housekeeping of the mat roll area and receiving dock
- Operating a forklift
- Preparing mat rolls for production
- Raw material inventory cycle counts
Qualifications Required
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment/continuous process industry
- Ability to read and write effectively and perform basic arithmetic skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including a positive outlook toward team members, staff, and company goals
- Demonstrated understanding of processes, equipment, and product specifications
- Physical capability and stamina to fit workplace demands
Qualifications Preferred
- Skilled in problem identification and resolution.
- Willingness to seek assistance and collaborate with support personnel
- Comfortable with PC-based office software and other common applications
