Accountant

Your Role

We are seeking a thoughtful, detail-oriented Accountant to join our Buenos Aires team. In this role, you will support daily cash management, accounting, and tax compliance and filings, while partnering across regional and global teams to ensure strong financial stewardship and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

Cash & Treasury

• Perform daily cash position analysis, monitor bank balances, and ensure adequate liquidity across accounts
• Execute and track movement of funds, including intercompany transfers and local disbursements
• Partner with Hub Treasury on cash forecasting, funding, and banking activities, including monitoring foreign exchange (FX) exposures, supporting risk mitigation strategies, and helping minimize the impact of currency volatility on local operations and intercompany funding

Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with local GAAP and company policies
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries for local books
• Prepare and resolve balance sheet reconciliations and variances
• Assist with statutory financial reporting and audits

Tax Compliance & Filings

• Prepare and/or coordinate local tax filings, including VAT (IVA), Income Tax (Ganancias), and Gross Receipts (Ingresos Brutos)
• Manage withholding taxes, payroll-related filings, and AFIP submissions
• Ensure timely and accurate filing and payment of all statutory obligations
• Support tax audits, regulatory inquiries, and ongoing compliance requirements
• Partner with advisors and global tax teams to stay aligned with evolving regulations

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with Hub Finance, Tax, Treasury, and regional accounting teams to align on policies and processes
• Serve as a local point of contact for accounting and tax matters in Argentina
• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and strong internal controls
• Assist with new initiatives, new business requirements, regulatory compliance, and operational enhancement

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or professional services environment
• Strong understanding of Argentine accounting and tax frameworks (AFIP, IVA, Ganancias, Ingresos Brutos)
• Experience with tax filings and statutory reporting in Argentina
• Experience with cash management, banking operations, and intercompany transactions
• Qualified or working towards a professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or local equivalent preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills and large multinational ERP experience preferred
