Your RoleÂ
As a Gensler Detroit Project Architect, you’ll lead a team to deliver exceptional architectural projects, leveraging your experience and technical expertise from concept to completion. Our Detroit office has spent 30 years helping local clients shape neighborhoods and design meaningful spaces. We’re deeply committed to the city’s resurgence, working on mixed-use developments, historic building repositioning, retail projects, and community collaborations. With a strong focus on preserving Detroit’s past while envisioning its future, you’ll play a key role in shaping the city’s next chapterÂ
What You Will DoÂ
- Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultantsÂ
- Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsÂ
- Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges  Â
- Create and Maintain project manuals and specificationsÂ
- Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during constructionÂ
Your QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ArchitectureÂ
- 6+ years of project experience in an architectural practice
- Aviation experience a plusÂ
- Licensed or registered architectÂ
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS OfficeÂ
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structuresÂ
- LEED accreditation preferred​Â
