Wood Thilsted have a presence in Japan since 2019 where we carried out the detailed design of the Akita & Noshiro secondary steel structures. Since then, we have grown our local team and have provided Geotechnical and Structural engineering services on over ten Japanese sites for a range of local and international clients. In Japan, we are committed to building a strong local design team and we have a robust pipeline of projects. We are currently working on pre-auction foundation designs, post-auction owners engineering support and a detailed foundation design project.

To deliver our Japanese and APAC region projects we are expanding our office in Tokyo and are looking for an Engineer to join our Primary Structures division, starting from early 2026.

- Collaborate and contribute as an integral part of our team in Japan as well as our engineering teams world-wide to deliver world-class renewable energy projects.

- Develop your competences in offshore structural steel design of fixed offshore wind turbine foundations (both monopile and jackets) through supporting our Tokyo based Senior Engineers. Depending on your relevant technical area of expertise you will perform seismic, geotechnical, or structural analysis and assessments.

- Use your knowledge to prepare detailed engineering reports and technical notes documenting engineering analyses and recommendations and contribute to the development of the overall project programme, budget and risk registers.

- Master's degree or similar in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering and relevant experience as a professional Engineer in these disciplines.
