Job Description Summary

About GE Vernova Power Conversion & Storage

GE Vernova is a purpose-built energy company on a mission to electrify and decarbonize the world. Our Power Conversion & Storage business sits at the heart of the clean energy transition โ€” delivering advanced power electronics, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and solar solutions that help utilities, developers, and industrial customers generate, convert, and store energy more efficiently.

From utility-scale solar farms to grid-stabilizing battery storage projects, GE Vernova's Power Conversion & Storage team brings decades of engineering expertise and a global footprint to some of the most impactful energy projects on the planet. When you join us, you're not just starting a career โ€” you're helping to shape the future of energy.

Are you an emerging leader eager to launch your career at the intersection of clean energy and complex project delivery? GE Vernova's Power Conversion & Storage business is seeking a motivated Project Manager to support the execution of large-scale solar and battery energy storage projects across the Americas.

This is an outstanding opportunity to learn from seasoned energy professionals, gain hands-on experience managing multi-million-dollar projects, and grow within one of the world's leading energy technology companies. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, contributing directly to project success while building the skills and expertise needed to advance your career.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS projects, gaining exposure to projects ranging from \$10M to \$200M in value

  • Assist in managing customer relationships โ€” learning to communicate effectively, resolve issues proactively, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Contribute to contract management activities including reporting, tracking receivables, monitoring change orders, and supporting claim resolution

  • Track and report on key project metrics including safety, quality, schedule, cost, and cash flow under the guidance of senior project managers

  • Coordinate with internal teams โ€” working cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, finance, and field services to support product delivery and commissioning

  • Maintain project documentation โ€” keeping records, action logs, risk registers, and status reports accurate and up to date

  • Participate in customer and internal meetings โ€” developing your communication and stakeholder management skills in a professional setting

  • Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all project activities

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field)

  • 3โ€“5 years of project management, engineering, or related professional experience (internship or co-op experience counts!)

  • Fluent English communication skills โ€” written and verbal

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred qualifications:

  • Academic or professional exposure to solar, BESS, or broader energy/power systems

  • Internship or project experience in construction, engineering, or energy sectors

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar

  • Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement principles

  • PMP certification or active pursuit of PMP credentials

What You'll Gain

  • Mentorship from experienced project managers and energy industry leaders

  • Hands-on experience with some of the most complex and exciting clean energy projects in the Americas

  • Career development through GE Vernova's robust training programs, internal mobility opportunities, and global professional network

  • Real responsibility from day one โ€” this is not a passive learning role

  • A front-row seat to the clean energy transition, working on technologies that are actively reshaping the global power grid
