Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Program Management & Execution
- Program Lifecycle Oversight: Manage cross-functional, technology-led, and product-focused programs, including schedule, budget, and tollgate processes for NPI, requisition, and sustaining initiatives.
- Strategic Resource Management: Oversee resource and budget allocation/integration while ensuring program outputs align with customer Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements.
- Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary interface for contractors, suppliers, customers, and internal departments to drive project alignment and delivery.
Leadership & Technical Strategy
- People Development: Provide direct leadership, including hiring, staffing, and performance management.
- Technical Problem Solving: Leverage in-depth technical discipline and analytical thinking to execute strategy, proposing innovative solutions for complex manufacturing processes and interdependent production cycles.
- Mentorship & Influence: Act as a subject matter expert, guiding junior team members and leading small-scale, low-risk projects to successful completion.
- Decision-Making: Synthesize data from multiple internal and external sources to drive informed decisions and achieve team consensus on complex topics.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- 4+ years of experience in a related Engineering field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience within program management.
OR
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- 4+ years of experience related to program management working alongside an engineering organization.
Eligibility Requirements:
- The work location for this role is Greenville, SC or Schenectady, NY (Relocation assistance provided if not already local).
- Ability and willingness to travel globally up to 10% of the time.

- Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing effective, data-driven solutions.
- Full-cycle proficiency in documenting, planning, promoting, and executing complex programs.
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
- PMP certification or active pursuit of PMP-level training.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
