Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Housekeeping: Perform and maintain workplace safety and health (WSH) practices in compliance with company policies and regulations. Demonstrate good workplace practices, including housekeeping standards and proper engineering work procedures.
- Technical Interpretation: Learn and apply Lean methodologies to improve maintenance processes and operational efficiency. Collect, analyse, and interpret maintenance and equipment data to identify root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Mechanical Operations: Safely use hand tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance instruments to carry out assigned tasks. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including equipment troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
- Maintenance & Servicing: Assist in the installation of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment, including motors, controllers, sensors, and mechanical components. Support the programming, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation systems such as PLCs, robots, and related control systems.
- Quality & Measurement: Participate in work process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment quality, and reliability. Conduct quality assurance activities by using measuring and testing instruments to verify equipment and process performance.
- Documentation: Prepare, update, check, and interpret schematics, and technical documentation. Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, documentation, checklists, and improvement recommendations.
- Professional Development: Gain insight into the company’s organizational structure, business processes, and professional work culture.
Requirements:
- Solid foundation in mechanical/Electrical principles and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Hands-on aptitude with mechanical hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Positive attitude towards learning and adhering to workplace safety standards.
