Job Description Summary

The U.S. Senior Licensing Engineer, Regulatory Affairs, will lead the completion of various technical licensing work scopes in the United States, specifically new reactor licensing for BWRX-300 Advanced Nuclear Projects to ensure the successful delivery of new build projects. This role focuses on the technical execution of licensing applications such as Licensing Topical Reports, and applications submitted to the NRC under Part 50 or Part 52.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

As the U.S. Senior Licensing Engineer, Regulatory Affairs, you will:

  • Prepare, coordinate, and implement limitations and conditions for U.S. Licensing Topical Reports (LTRs) in support of new reactor licensing, including preparation of responses to customer and regulator questions
  • Prepare licensing basis documentation in support of Part 50 customer licensing applications in the U.S. for new reactor construction and operations, including Preliminary Safety Analysis Reports (PSARs), Final Safety Analysis Reports (FSARs), Technical Specifications, Technical Specification Bases, and Availability Controls Manuals
  • Prepare licensing basis documentation in support of Part 52 applications in the U.S. for new reactor construction and operations
  • Prepare licensing basis documentation and reports supporting customer License Amendment Request (LAR) and Exemption applications
  • Interface with customers and regulatory personnel on regulatory issues, and to secure applicable permissions and approvals related to work scopes
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and project management teams to ensure design alignment with the established or intended licensing basis
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating licensing risks associated with the BWRX-300 design and other new product initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of related professional work experience with nuclear power plants (previous new plant experience preferred but not required)

  • Experience and demonstrated effectiveness in working / communicating with regulatory and customer personnel
  • Experience working with industry groups (e.g., NEI and Owners Groups)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • GVH will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.   • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a site security clearance, including NRC required background check

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $213,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
