The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors department within the Space and Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center is seeking an Airborne RF Surveillance SI&T Test Coordinator for the Airborne Multi-Mission Test & Lab Ops Section.

In this position, the selected candidate will initially focus on engineering activities related to software and hardware integration, testing, and troubleshooting within a system development test environment. While this is an individual contributor role, the candidate will have opportunities to take on increased responsibilities and leadership tasks over time, with the goal of growing into a leadership position within the team.  This is an onsite role in Plano, Texas. 

What You Will Do:

  • Work with the Program Integrated Product Team (IPT) and software engineers
  • Responsible for executing AAS Software Integration and Test (SWIT) activities in conjunction with the test director
  • Manage and tracking test activities using Jira (or a similar project management tool) to document and monitor test progress, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in alignment with the project’s objectives.
  • Update tasks, manage sprints, and provide communication on testing status
  • System operation, log file analysis, hardware removal and installation, troubleshooting, and working in a dynamic, agile environment.
  • On occasion, complete work outside regular business hours to support operational objectives
  • Coordinate with cross functional product teams to determine testing priority and assist with the development of test procedures.  

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting software integration and test of airborne systems, including hardware setup, system power‑on, functional checks, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with AAS‑related hardware, software, or system interfaces
  • Prior experience working with special test equipment and inventory tools
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Advanced Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
  • Experience supporting integration and test of software for airborne mission systems such as P‑8/AAS
  • Experience working with Linux to perform frequent file manipulation and log file analysis
  • Operate lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators
  • Ability to follow lab safety protocols (ESD, grounding, hardware handling)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
