Job Description Summary

An excellent opportunity has opened with us for a Manufacturing Test Engineer where you will support the current and future equipment introductions for the testing of HVDC Products. Ensuring continued Support to manufacturing for the efficient execution of complex electronic assembly testing, diagnostics, and maintenance activities for the test equipment. This position requires a technical and operational understanding of manufacturing test processes to ensure high quality standards are met. It is essential that you also have excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication and organizational skills to ensure successful completion of activities, which will also bring its own rewards and recognition and long-term impact to the company.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Looking for strong experience in Manufacturing testing in Shop floor for HVDC Valves testing
  • Change implementation for Test Equipment.
  • Maintain and upgrade developed Test processes and equipment (i.e. Calibration of equipment, variant changes to Test processes and risk assessment and work instruction, etc.)
  • Implement Test equipment in a timely manner to facilitate manufacturing.
  • Work in a team environment to solve issues to keep manufacturing goals and milestones.
  • Maintaining calibration of test equipment.
  • Operator Training and Production support.
  • First response for breakdown of equipment.
  • Test record checking and maintenance.
  • Work with test equipment suppliers directly.
  • Test and business IT systems maintenance.
  • Documentation update and creation of Work instructions, Risk Assessments, and operator training documents.
  • Continuous Improvement implementation for Test Processes.
  • TAP and Competent person for production.

Required Qualifications

  • EHS compliance and safe working practices
  • Good hands-on experience on HVDC product/Power electronics with high voltage testing, Solar Inverters, HVDC converters, UPS, LV/MV drives, Oscilloscope, & power systems study is mandate
  • Ability to deliver results, address and resolve technical issues.
  • 8-14 years’ Experience in a Manufacturing Test environment and experience of Automated Manufacturing test equipment.
  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • Understanding of IT requirements for Test system integration.
  • Basic Knowledge on Ni Test Stand / LabVIEW experience in Automation testing would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in working with global stakeholders in Manufacturing industry
  • Advanced manufacturing Methods and subsequent implementation, LEAN, SQDC
  • Knowledge of business principles, strategy, and subsequent interface across all functions.
