Role Summary/Purpose:

GE Power Services partners with customers across the globe to service their gas turbine, steam turbine, and generator components. The Warehouse Specialist will manage the storage of materials as well as picking, packing, shipping, and receiving of those materials. You will drive efficiency, profitability, and overall customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Warehouse Specialist, you will: Pull inventory for stock;

  • Inspect and pack products for delivery;
  • Verify inventories, maintain organization of products in the rack base and perform other miscellaneous stocking duties as requested;
  • Check order for accurate and proper documentation;
  • Assist in completing paperwork & SAP Transactions relative to shipping and receiving tasks;
  • Prepare necessary documentation regarding weight and freight cost on the order and properly labeling and documenting any hazardous material packages;
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned to keep work area clean;
  • Perform cycle counts as needed;
  • Operate forklift;
  • Perform other related job duties as required or requested by the Company.

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED;

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Desired Characteristics:

Minimum six (6) months related warehouse experience;

  • Experience operating a stock picker and/or forklift;
  • Experience in distribution industry;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team;
  • Proven record of punctual work experience;
  • Must have reliable transportation;
  • Ability to follow work rules, carry out instructions either written, oral, or diagram form;
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral);
  • Ability to follow all safety rules and wear all PPE as required;
  • Ability and willingness to work multiple shift(s);
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends, as required;
  • Desire to take ownership and accountability in work and in company success;
  • Ability to work in a lean and fast-paced environment
