We are seeking a skilled and experienced Murex Quantitative Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong quantitative background combined with hands-on experience in financial modelling, risk analysis, and pricing using the Murex platform. As a Murex Quantitative Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and validating pricing models, performing risk assessments, and collaborating with both technical and business teams to integrate quantitative methodologies within our Murex environment.

Job family: Financial Engineering/Quantitative Analysis
Minimum Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst or in a similar role within a financial institution
  • Experience with Murex pricing and risk modules is highly desirable

Education Requirements: 
Master’s or Ph.D. in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline
Contract Type: 
Fixed-Term: 12 months



RESPONSIBILITIES



Responsibilities differ across client engagements but may include:

  • Quantitative Modelling & Pricing:
    • Develop, implement, and validate pricing models for a range of financial instruments including derivatives and structured products.
    • Calibrate models using market data to ensure pricing accuracy and consistency.
    • Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing to assess model performance under various market scenarios.
  • Risk Management & Analysis:
    • Analyse and interpret risk metrics produced by the Murex system, ensuring alignment with internal risk frameworks and regulatory standards.
    • Assist in enhancing risk measurement tools and methodologies within the Murex platform.
    • Collaborate with risk management teams to adjust model parameters and assumptions.
  • Integration & Platform Enhancement:
    • Work closely with Murex Developers to integrate quantitative models into the Murex platform efficiently.
    • Contribute to the customization of the Murex environment to accommodate advanced analytical requirements.
    • Support troubleshooting and optimization of quantitative modules within the platform.
  • Research and Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory developments, and advancements in quantitative techniques.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage new quantitative methods to improve pricing accuracy and risk assessments.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the analytical frameworks at Amidel.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Document model design, calibration, validation processes, and assumptions thoroughly.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory reviews.
    • Ensure adherence to industry best practices in model risk management and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Quantitative Expertise:
    • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in quantitative modelling techniques such as Monte Carlo simulations, finite difference methods, and regression analysis.
    • Strong understanding of financial instruments including derivatives, fixed income, and structured products.
  • Murex Platform Familiarity:
    • Experience working with the Murex platform, specifically in relation to pricing and risk modules, is highly desirable.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with Murex technical teams to implement quantitative solutions.
  • Technical Acumen:
    • Proficient in statistical programming and data analysis tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
    • Familiarity with SQL and other database querying languages is a plus.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex market data and identify underlying trends.
    • Proactive approach to problem solving with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

    • Flexibility to adapt to evolving market conditions, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
