Jack’s Point is seeking a capable and service-focused Duty Manager to take a leading role in one of Queenstown’s most stunning dining environments. In this hands-on opportunity, you will ensure the delivery of a seamless, quality service while helping to shape the future of our food and beverage experience. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, confidence, and the qualifications to match, including a current Duty Manager’s Certificate (or the ability to immediately apply for one).
As Duty Manager, you’ll lead our front-of-house team during day and evening service - ensuring every guest interaction reflects our high standards and unique setting. You’ll support staff on the floor, coordinate with the kitchen and bar, and take ownership of service delivery, team direction, and the daily rhythm of the venue. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of our F&B offering as we continue to refine what Jack’s Point represents.
What You Will Do
- Drive smooth, consistent daily operations and uphold service excellence
- Act as a key point of leadership during service, supporting team performance and cohesion
- Maintain compliance with liquor licensing, health and safety, and brand standards
- Coach staff on product knowledge and service style, with an eye for improvement
- Oversee cash handling, presentation, and in-service decision making
- Contribute to the enhancement of our food and beverage experience
What You Will Bring
- Current Manager’s Certificate (or eligible to obtain) is essential
- Experience in a duty manager or supervisory role in a busy F&B environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a guest-first approach
- A hands-on, professional style and ability to guide service under pressure
- Deep understanding of service flow, food and beverage, and team coordination
- Knowledge of New Zealand hospitality regulations including health and safety and liquor licensing
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead from the floor, mentor a team, and play a key role in the next stage of Jack’s Point’s evolution.
As this is a leadership position, applicants for this role should have NZ citizenship/residency or a NZ work visa with a minimum of 6 months validity.
