About this role
Located 10 minutes from Cromwell and set against a backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is the largest single estate vineyard in Central Otago. Having achieved full organic certification in 2021, our philosophy is to nurture nature at every step and yield wines with exceptional purity, intensity and vibrancy.

Our Cellar Hand will assist with the day-to-day winery cellar operations to help ensure that wine processes run smoothly, hygienically and efficiently. Duties will include fruit and juice receival, grape and must handling, wine and juice racking and transfers, filtration, barrel work, topping, stirring, racking as well as cleaning and winery hygiene.
Our ideal applicant will have the following:
- Degree in Oenology or equivalent.
- 3+ vintages of experience.
- Cool climate experience with focus on premium Pinot Noir production.
- Experience in working with organically certified fruit and winemaking processes.
- Be a great team player with a positive attitude.
You must be fit and healthy as there is heavy lifting involved. You will also need to have your own transport to work as we are not on a bus route. Work is predominately Monday - Friday, however there will be longer hours and weekend work (both Saturday and Sunday) required at certain key times of the year (vintage).
