We are seeking a results-driven technology leader with a strong program management background to support the Air & Water organization. This role will be embedded within the business, responsible for driving the delivery of key initiatives that enable growth across Residential, Light Commercial and Commercial Applied operations as Air & Water pursues its vision to grow from $400 million to $3 billion in revenue by 2030.This Principal Program Manager will serve as a strategic partner between Digital Technology (DT) and the Air & Water business, helping identify opportunities where technology can improve the customer experience, increase operational effectiveness, and accelerate business growth. The role will be instrumental in translating business strategies into actionable technology solutions, facilitating prioritization of work across multiple teams, and ensuring stakeholder expectations are met while delivering measurable business outcomes.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging strong business acumen, program leadership skills, and influence cross-functional teams to drive execution and champion innovative solutions, including emerging technologies such as AI.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnership & Strategic Planning (30%)
- Partner with business leaders to understand growth objectives, operational challenges, and customer pain points, translating them into technology initiatives that deliver measurable business value.
- Identify opportunities where technology can improve customer experience, increase operational efficiency, enable scalability, or support new business capabilities.
- Develop and maintain the Air & Water technology roadmap, ensuring initiatives align with strategic priorities and available resources.
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to define business requirements, establish success criteria, and gain alignment on solution direction.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the business and DT teams, ensuring priorities, expectations, and decisions are clearly communicated and understood.
- Anticipate emerging business needs and proactively recommend technology solutions that position Air & Water for future growth.
Portfolio Leadership & Prioritization (30%)
- Lead prioritization of the Air & Water portfolio of work, balancing business value, strategic objectives, enterprise commitments, resource capacity, and technical dependencies.
- Manage the end-to-end execution of technology initiatives, including scope, schedule, quality, budget, and risk management activities.
- Partner with DT leaders to establish realistic delivery plans and optimize resource allocation across multiple initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into actionable work plans and clearly defined deliverables for DT teams.
- Facilitate governance processes and decision-making forums to ensure transparency around priorities, trade-offs, and investment decisions.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks early, proactively driving mitigation plans and escalating issues when necessary.
- Monitor initiative performance against objectives and implement corrective actions to maintain progress toward desired outcomes.
Technology Strategy & Solution Delivery (20%)
- Partner with Commercial Development COE to design and implement scalable technology solutions that support Air & Water's business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities, to identify opportunities that improve business processes, enhance customer experiences, and create competitive advantages.
- Champion pilot initiatives and proof-of-concepts that validate new technologies and accelerate innovation within the organization.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards while meeting the unique needs of the Air & Water business.
- Solve difficult and often complex business challenges by identifying root causes and driving sustainable, systemic solutions.
- Lead post-implementation reviews to assess outcomes, capture lessons learned and implement improvements to strengthen future delivery efforts.
Enterprise Collaboration, Communication & Influence (20%)
- Build strong relationships across GE Appliances DT teams, including Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics/Distribution, Bodewell, Finance, Enterprise Architecture, Security, SalesForce Governance, and other shared service functions.
- Influence enterprise teams to ensure common platforms and solutions effectively support Air & Water business requirements.
- Facilitate alignment among stakeholders with competing priorities, helping teams navigate ambiguity and make timely decisions.
- Communicate initiative status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to project teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Provide clear recommendations and articulate trade-offs to support informed decision-making by leadership teams.
- Drive accountability for commitments by tracking action items, removing obstacles, and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Support organizational change efforts by preparing stakeholders for new capabilities and encouraging adoption of technology solutions.
- Coach teams on effective collaboration, problem-solving, and delivery practices to improve overall execution and business partnership.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer focus across both business and DT teams.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience managing IT projects.
- Sound knowledge of Project Management and strong influencing skills a must.
- Previous experience of at least 5 project executions.

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization, including business leadership, DT teams, vendors, and enterprise partners.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence decisions and gain alignment among diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational challenges and translate business needs into technology solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Proven experience leading complex projects or portfolios of initiatives in matrixed environments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, exercise sound judgment, and independently drive initiatives from concept through execution.
- Demonstrated success influencing others without direct authority, including challenging assumptions, facilitating difficult conversations, and driving consensus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Experience balancing multiple priorities and competing demands across cross-functional and global teams.
- Change leadership experience, including driving adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
