ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Direct and coordinate all maintenance staff activities for mechanical and electrical repair of equipment to support plant performance goals while minimizing downtime, maximizing output, efficiency and quality. Maintain plant safety standards and enforce all safety policies. Work with plant management team to plan preventative maintenance programs and schedule machine overhauls in coordination with operating activities. Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Responsible for all supervisory tasks for the maintenance department, including interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, discipline, training and policy enforcement. Work with suppliers, contractors and vendors to ensure problems are resolved quickly and with minimal downtime. Work with plant management team to develop, coordinate and oversee various capital and process improvement projects. Prepare and manage annual department budget. Oversee the Facility Maintenance department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

B.S. in Engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical), 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, 5 years of machine maintenance experience, 3 or more years supervisory experience.  Knowledge of PMC, Bobst and Man Roland equipment helpful.  Excellent communication and computer skills
