Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Options Trader with a strong understanding of energy markets to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our options portfolio while developing and executing trading strategies across European power, gas, and related energy markets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute trading strategies for European energy options markets, covering short-term to long-term positions.
• Identify and exploit arbitrage, volatility, and relative value opportunities across options and underlying energy markets.
• Build and maintain strong fundamental and quantitative models to analyze market dynamics and pricing structures.
• Collaborate with the Quant Team to enhance analytical tools and trading models.
• Assist in the automation of trading processes and contribute to algorithmic trading initiatives.
• Monitor and assess regulatory changes, market developments, and macroeconomic factors impacting energy derivatives.
• Work closely with the risk management team to ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education in Finance, Math, Physics, Economics, or comparable quantitative studies.
• 3+ years of experience in options trading, preferably in energy markets.
• Strong understanding of options pricing models, volatility surfaces, and Greeks.
• Proven track record in proprietary trading of energy options.
• Knowledge of European and global energy markets, including power and gas fundamentals.
• Ability to make strategic, data-driven trading decisions within defined risk parameters.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with structured problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in cross-commodity optimizations and derivatives trading.
• Programming skills in Python and MATLAB are a plus.
• A MSc degree is a plus.
