About this role
About inGain
inGain is a Latvian B2B fintech startup delivering an end-to-end, no-code SaaS platform for launching and running lending operations from digital application flows and underwriting to servicing and debt collection. Established and based in Riga, we have steadily scaled since our foundation in 2022, now comprising a team of over 30 talents serving clients across 11 markets in Europe, Africa and Middle East.
Our Tech Stack:
- Backend: PHP 8.3 with custom modular framework that extensively leverages Symfony and Illuminate components to support complex, large-scale SaaS workflows
- Frontend: Laravel Blade, focused on clarity, performance, and maintainability
- Databases: MySQL 8 as our primary relational datastore
- Caching & Performance: Redis for caching and fast data access
- Observability & Monitoring: Sentry for error tracking, Grafana and Prometheus for metrics and system visibility
- Infrastructure & Local Development: Docker-based development environments for consistency and ease of setup
- Version Control: Self-hosted GitLab with full CI/CD pipelines
- Project Management: We use Jira for managing tickets and Confluence for storing up-to-date information
- Collaboration: Slack for day-to-day communication and coordination
- Engineering Process: A well-defined SDLC with code reviews, manual/automated testing, and controlled releases
- Developer Tooling: We actively encourage the use of GenAI tools to improve productivity and day-to-day development workflow.
In this role you will:
- Own the project from the onboarding project requirements collection to the final delivery.
- Take full ownership of all client communication, ensuring they are always informed and aligned with the project's progress.
- Use your system analysis mindset to break down big ideas into actionable tickets. You’ll validate client requirements—checking if they are technically "ready to go" for developers or if they need deeper architectural analysis first.
- Run daily stand-ups and keep the team aligned. You’ll be the one decomposing tasks, defining dependencies, and setting realistic timelines.
- Proactively identify gaps and risks before they become roadblocks.
- Provide regular reports and, more importantly, be the first to raise a hand if a deadline shifts or a client changes the scope.
- Help define and refine the frameworks we use to stay organized and efficient.
You'll be a fantastic fit if you:
- Have 5+ years in IT project management, specifically working with large-scale, complex systems.
- You bring a sharp, analytical eye to every request, spotting integration gaps and refining technical details before they even reach the team.
- You take the lead, manage the "small stuff" so it doesn't become "big stuff," and keep the project moving.
- Are a "doer" who thrives within a structured framework but has the seniority to suggest how to improve it.
You will get plus points if you have:
- A deep understanding of the Lending industry. You can validate and challenge business context ideas.
- Worked in regulated financial environments (compliance, data protection awareness).
- Have a basic technical literacy — enough to meaningfully discuss architecture, APIs and database topics with developers.
You will become successful in this role if:
- In your 1st Month: You’ll dive deep into our lending platform inGain and get a handle on our delivery processes. You’ll spend time shadowing current projects and meeting the key people who make things happen. By the end of the month, you’ll be ready to take full charge of at least one client project.
- By Month 2: You’re solo handling at least one client project. You’re facilitating the daily stand-ups, tracking progress like a pro, and managing risks before they escalate. Your status updates are the "source of truth" for everyone involved.
- By Month 3: You’ve earned the full trust of both the clients and the dev team. You’re comfortably managing multiple projects, and people rely on you for your sharp analysis, realistic planning, and ability to keep everything on track.
Our offer to you:
- Compensation: A gross monthly salary of €4000
- Share Options: Earn share options, giving you a stake in our success
- Health insurance after probation period.
- Hybrid work model (3 days per week in-office)
- A-Class office: Elemental Business Centre in Skanste
- Free parking at the office
- Complimentary snacks in the office to keep you energized throughout the day
- Training to expand your industry knowledge.
- A birthday gift
