DePuy Synthes Trauma offers a comprehensive portfolio of trauma care solutions for the treatment of theĀ most simpleĀ to the most complex trauma injuries using traditional and minimally invasive techniques.Ā Ā 

The overall responsibilities of the Sales Associate position include providing clinical and customer support in hospitals and procedures, while ensuring customer service, salesĀ logistics, technicalĀ expertise, and product knowledge of highest order/level. Sales Associates also supportĀ sales objectives, cover cases, andĀ maintain/manage surgeon and account relationships within a geographic territory – and may offer/sell the breadth of portfolio, services, and solutions for assigned accounts.Ā 

Key Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Assist DePuy Synthes sales organization inĀ retainingĀ and supporting further penetration with existing customers, while supporting product conversions with new customers.Ā AssistĀ in the attainment of established salesĀ goalsĀ including market shareĀ objectivesĀ in prescribed territory. Apply knowledge of salesĀ process, productĀ portfolioĀ and customer knowledge to improve sales outcomes.Ā 

  • Guide andĀ assistĀ surgeons in the operating room through their clinical and product knowledge. Use product knowledge to present,Ā demonstrate, and ensure properĀ utilizationĀ of DePuy Synthes productsĀ 

  • Support customers by attending surgeries, assuring that the proper equipment is available and performing, including ways toĀ optimizeĀ trays; Provide Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department consultationĀ 

  • Troubleshoot and provide other technicalĀ assistance; handle customer requests, effectively manage hospital billing, create/close purchase ordersĀ 

  • Share key customer, procedural and marketplace insights with other sales, clinical,Ā marketingĀ and strategic account teams toĀ improve onĀ solutions/service levels. Prepare sales reports and documents asĀ requiredĀ 

  • Maintenance, tracking and effective deployment of equipment, and assets throughout assigned areaĀ ensuringĀ product availability. Ensure all promotional materials areĀ maintainedĀ in a presentable manner. Ensure DePuy Synthes Services and offeringĀ meetĀ highest quality standards.Ā 

  • Focus on customer satisfaction andĀ retention;Ā and improving the customers’ insights into DePuy Synthes tangible and non-tangible value proposition and solutions. Differentiate DPS’s products versus competition byĀ providingĀ theĀ customerĀ unique insights.Ā 

QualificationsĀ 

Education & Experience:Ā 

  • Bachelor’s DegreeĀ orĀ 

  • Associate DegreeĀ or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.) + minimum of 2 years of professional and/or related experienceĀ orĀ 

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional and/or related experienceĀ orĀ 

  • Recently transitioned from Active Military DutyĀ 

Other:Ā 

  • The ability to work in a lab/operating room environment.Ā 

  • A valid driver's license issued in the United StatesĀ 

  • The ability to travel which may includeĀ weekendĀ and/or overnight travel.Ā 

  • Residence in or willingness toĀ relocateĀ to the postedĀ territory.Ā 

  • Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving, and business acumen skillsĀ required.Ā 

  • A qualified candidate will be efficient, organized, self-motivated,Ā positiveĀ and pro-activeĀ 

  • Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures,Ā protocolsĀ and solutions preferredĀ Ā

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

Position is 100% commission/incentive compensation and is eligible for a bi-weekly draw.
