Job Description:

Job Overview 

This role serves as the US Contracting Technology Product Owner within Commercial Technology, accountable for the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of technology products that enable contracting, pricing, and commercial execution for DePuy Synthes. The Senior Manager partners closely with Commercial, Legal, Finance, and IT stakeholders to ensure contracting solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned to business priorities. This position plays a critical role in driving digital enablement, operational efficiency, and datadriven decisionmaking across the US commercial organization and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own and drive the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for US contracting technology solutions, ensuring alignment with commercial strategy and enterprise priorities. 

  • Partner with Commercial, Contracting, Pricing, Legal, Finance, and Compliance teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable technology requirements and user stories. 

  • Lead endtoend delivery of contracting technology initiatives, including enhancements, integrations, and modernization efforts, ensuring quality, scalability, and regulatory compliance. 

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for product performance, value realization, and continuous improvement across the contracting technology portfolio. 

  • Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize commercial platforms, enhancing customer engagement, pricing and revenue optimization, and datadriven decisionmaking while driving scalable and compliant commercial execution across sales, marketing, and customer operations. 

  • Manage prioritization tradeoffs across multiple stakeholders while balancing speed, risk, cost, and business impact. 

  • Collaborate with architecture, data, and platform teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards and longterm roadmap. 

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to product owners, analysts, and delivery partners within a matrixed environment. 

  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience, and enable datadriven commercial decisionmaking. 

 

Qualifications 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. 

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. 

Experience and Skills 

Required: 

  • 8–10 years of experience in technology product management, product ownership, or commercial IT, with demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise solutions. 

  • Strong technical skills, including experience with enterprise commercial platforms (e.g., contracting, pricing, CRM, ERP integrations), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and product lifecycle management tools. 

  • Proven business acumen with the ability to translate contracting, pricing, and commercial processes into scalable technology solutions that deliver measurable value. 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in influencing crossfunctional stakeholders, leading matrixed teams, and driving alignment without direct authority. 

  • Experience working in regulated environments with strong understanding of compliance, data privacy, and internal control requirements. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product strategy, tradeoffs, and outcomes to senior business and IT leaders. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience supporting US commercial contracting, pricing, or deal management within healthcare, medical devices, or life sciences. 

  • Familiarity with data and analytics capabilities that support contract performance, profitability, and commercial insights. 

  • Experience leading largescale technology transformations or platform modernizations. 

  • Advanced leadership experience coaching product owners or delivery leads in a productcentric operating model. 

Other: 

  • Language: English proficiency required. 

  • Travel: Up to 10–20% domestic travel as business needs require. 

  • Certifications: Agile, SAFe, or product management certifications (preferred). 

 

The expected base pay range for this position is $122,000.00 to $211,025.00.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k))

  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term
    incentive program.

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar

  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child.

  • Condolence Leave – 30 days for an immediate family member: 5
    days for an extended family member

  • Caregiver Leave – 10 days

  • Volunteer Leave – 4 days

  • Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours
