Position Title: Program Co-Lead, FAx

Position Type: Full-Time, 1-Year Contract 
Contract Term: July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027 (Extension subject to review in Spring 2027)
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 (based on 1 year term, pro-rated for a lesser term)
Reports To: Executive Director, FAx (or designate)

Position Summary

Fraser Academy (FAx) is seeking a qualified internal candidate to fill a 1-year contract as Program Co-Lead. This role primarily co-manages the daily operations, outreach, and educational delivery of our after-school and summer learner programs (serving 1:1 tutoring clients with dyslexia and learning differences, across Executive Functioning, Math, and Orton-Gillingham (OG) frameworks).

Working in partnership with Nicola Lott (Program Lead, Executive Function Skill Development and Math Essentials), the successful candidate will share leadership duties to ensure strong parent communication, accurate student tutor placements, and effective onboarding of new FAx practitioners. This position balances program coordination, educational consulting, and direct 1:1 student instruction as well as being a key position in supporting FAx meet / exceed its annual client and revenue goals.


Key Responsibilities

1. Program Leadership & Operations

  • Provide onsite mentorship to new and returning practitioners, supporting them directly in their educational practice and helping them review student files to set them up for success.
  • Support admissions/enrollment process including through answering inquiries.
  • Supports business development activities, and may work directly with marketing & communications to promote programs.
  • Co-manage the daily schedules, student applications, and tutor placements for the Learner programs and summer camps.
  • Lead the onboarding of new FAx practitioners, guiding them through communication workflows, program standards, institutional policies and assisting them with student file reviews.
  • Oversee daily program logistics, including Teacher-on-Call (TOC) lists for tutor absences and general frontline inquiry management.
  • Supervise student progress metrics by reviewing student year plans and editing seasonal report cards.
  • Coordinate student scheduling and program planning throughout August and September to prepare for the academic year intake.
  • Support and participate in the free early literacy screening & intervention program.

2. Educational Consulting & Assessments

  • Oversee and deliver the Educational Consulting portfolio.
  • Conduct formal family intakes for new educational consulting clients and incoming admissions inquiries, collaborating closely with FAx’s Administrative Assistant.
  • Administer B-level clinical standardized assessments, specifically the CTOPP, CEFI, and Woodcock-Johnson tests.
  • Formulate comprehensive consultation packages detailing explicit student learning profiles, IEP goals, and targeted instructional recommendations.

3. Direct Teaching & Community Outreach

  • Maintain a personal student portfolio, delivering specialized 1:1 instruction for complex Orton-Gillingham (OG) and Executive Functioning (EF) clients.
  • Provide onsite teaching and leadership support for camp, summer and annual programming throughout the month of July (Daily Shift: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm).
  • Track, support, administer, and report on screening for the free early literacy screening program.(scheduled 3 times per year from 1:00pm - 5:30pm)
  • Co-teach specialized training sessions, including the Executive Function in the Writing Process workshop alongside OG Practitioner & Executive Function Coach, Cassandra Tobin.


Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with standard 8-hour days. Due to the hours of the after-school program, the schedule uses a rotating shift structure to ensure coverage during peak student times:

  • Administrative Shift (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays): 8:00am - 4:00pm (Focused on administration, parent support, online sessions, admissions inquiries, and weekly team meetings, literacy project support and program tasks).
  • After-School Shift (Mondays &  Wednesdays): 11:00am - 7:00pm on a rotating basis (Focused on program oversight and direct 1:1 student sessions).
  • Summer Hours: Month of July 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; August 17-August 30 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Note: Direct after-school support runs daily from 3:00pm -  7:00pm.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Preference for a certified B-level tester qualified to independently administer and interpret the CTOPP, CEFI, and Woodcock-Johnson assessment tests.
  • Strong experience in implementing remediation frameworks for students with dyslexia and learning differences, Orton-Gillingham (OG) and Executive Functioning - required, NILD - an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely within a shared co-leadership framework to coordinate student files and balance daily program tasks with proficient project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer relationship and problem solving skills. Clear, professional internal and external interpersonal skills (for example handling parent concerns and providing guidance to instructional staff).
