Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. The Manager, Fleet/Road Safety is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing global fleet and road safety programs to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and direct continuous improvement in transportation safety performance. This role leads cross-functional initiatives to protect employees, contractors, and the public, and supports business objectives through effective risk management and regulatory compliance.Â
Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesÂ
30% â Develop, implement, and maintain global fleet and road safety policies, procedures, and standards.Â
20% â Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes for fleet/road safety events.Â
15% â Analyze fleet safety data, trends, and KPIs; report findings to senior leadership and recommend improvements.Â
15% â Coordinate driver training, qualification, and safety awareness programs across all regions.Â
10% â Manage compliance with applicable transportation, road safety, and fleet regulations (local, regional, global).Â
5% â Collaborate with procurement, operations, and HR to ensure safe vehicle selection, maintenance, and driver management.Â
5% â Support sustainability initiatives related to fleet operations (e.g., emissions reduction, eco-driving)Â
Other DutiesÂ
Participate in EHS&S audits and assessmentsÂ
Develop and mentor regional office/deliver/fleet specialists and commercial leaders/teams by providing technical training, expertise and solutionsÂ
Develop, implement and help coordinate road safety training modules and coordinate regional trainings with regional office/deliver/fleet specialistsÂ
Support crisis management and emergency response related to fleet incidents Â
Represent the company in external fleet safety forums and industry groupÂ
Required QualificationsÂ
Required Minimum Education:Â Bachelorâs degree in Safety, Engineering, Transportation, or related fieldÂ
Required Years of Related Experience:Â 6-8+ years in fleet/road safety management or EHSÂ
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Â
Expertise in fleet safety regulations and standards Â
Ability to work in a cross-regional, cross-sector, and cross-functional team Strong analytical and data management skills Â
Experience with incident investigation and corrective action Â
Effective communication and stakeholder engagementÂ
Strategic vendor/supplier management skillsÂ
Valid driver license and good driving history required.Â

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
âŹ70,100.00 - âŹ121,210.00Â
