About the Role


  • Location: Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) – Hybrid 
  • Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 
  • Full-time, Permanent:  M-F 37.5 hrs/week, days begin at 12:15pm


As a Telefundraising Team Leader, you will manage, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of telefundraisers. Working alongside a collaborative leadership team (two fellow Team Leaders, a Performance Coach, and the Telefundraising Manager), you will drive daily performance while keeping your team connected to our environmental mission.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & Inspire: Drive your team to consistently hit daily and weekly fundraising targets.
  • Coach & Develop: Run regular 1:1s, monitor call data, and deliver training to lift skills and confidence.
  • Manage Performance: Set clear goals, celebrate success, and proactively manage underperformance.
  • Operations: Run engaging team meetings and stay on top of daily team admin.


About You (Skills & Experience)

You are an energetic, target-driven leader who knows how to focus on bringing the best out of people in this type of calling environment.


What you bring:

  • Leadership: 1+ years managing and coaching teams of 5+ in a fast-paced contact centre (sales, fundraising, or customer service).
  • Frontline Experience: 2+ years of frontline contact centre experience hitting KPIs under pressure.
  • Coaching & Training: Proven ability to deliver feedback, run training sessions, and implement performance improvement strategies.
  • Tech-Savvy: Quick to adapt to new systems and tools.
  • Recruitment: Experience with recruitment, interviewing, or onboarding is a bonus but not essential. 
  • The Passion: A genuine desire to protect the environment and fight for climate action.
