Purpose
The primary responsibility is to provide day to day support to Directors, Consultants and Senior Associates across a range of accounts and create meaningful impact on our client’s businesses. An Associate supports the BU's goals by delighting clients with great work and ensuring efficient delivery. The role includes preparation of questionnaires, presentations and reports as well as internal responsibilities such as project management. The role also includes an introduction to client engagement and consultancy.
The Role
1) Account Management
· Responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of account outputs including data tables, KPIs, presentations, reports and workshops
· Responsible for accurate analyses, data checks; writes, checks and crafts reports and presentations to ensure deliverables meet the needs of the senior team
· Provide constructive feedback and support for other account members to ensure account responsibilities and deliverables are met to a high standard in agreed timelines
· Work efficiently by planning, reviewing, improving and streamlining processes and systems without compromising quality
· Responsible for coordinating and monitoring accurate and timely delivery of scripts, charting, fieldwork and data provision from relevant departments
· Foster good relationships with Operations team and provides constructive feedback to improve relationships.
· Responsible for maintenance of normative databases
2) Analysis and Insights Expertise
· Implement solutions to drive meaningful insight for client business needs
· Apply appropriate basic costing, sample design, questionnaire design, data spec and chart spec principles
· Contribute to formulation, articulation and validation of hypotheses to help build appropriate, relevant and impactful stories
· Understand data from various sources (e.g. sales data, media spend data)
· Translate data into insightful charts and deliverables
· Develop knowledge of brand tools, philosophies and techniques and apply these appropriately to the design, analysis and interpretation of projects to deliver meaningful insights
3) Client Management and Consultancy
· Apply basic level of knowledge and understanding of your clients and their business in all interactions with clients, and deliverables and analysis conducted for them. Knowledge including;
· Key clients, key stakeholders and their needs
· The client’s business and strategy / challenges
· Client brands and communication activity
· Client markets and competitors
· Deliver effective and timely support for your clients in responding to their needs
· Record and contribute to client discussions to better understand their business issues
· Basic interpretation of data and ability to articulate insights clearly and impactfully
· Provide a point of view on specific client issues aligned with brand philosophies
· Develop good relationships with clients to the extent they are perceived as a reliable member of the team that can offer support
· Present impactfully, whenever possible
· Demonstrate confidence and good interpersonal skills in client facing situations
· Actively contributes to client and agency meetings whenever possible
· Utilises 'Goldstar' (Signature/GreenWorks) client management model to deepen relationships
4) People Management
· Take an active role in self-development planning and provide constructive feedback to team to help leaders understand how to support Associate's development
· Participate in the training of more junior team members as appropriate
· Complete all Performance Appraisals Process responsibilities on time
5) Business Development and Financial Management
· Deliver to account responsibilities sufficiently to retain clients and maintain existing business
· Respond to new business opportunities supporting the team through:
· Preparing accurate costs
· Preparing proposals
· Completes timesheets accurately and on time
· Ensure Finance processes are followed through:
· Client Contracts
· PO
· Billing
· Monitor costs throughout projects
Requirements
· Educated to degree level, ideally majoring in Communications, Marketing, Media, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Management or a related discipline.
· 1–2 years’ experience in a research agency, media agency, media vendor or technology environment, with exposure to campaign measurement or media analytics.
· Understanding of media research or measurement is desired (e.g., brand lift, attribution, CrossMedia, or in‑context testing) with a willingness to deepen expertise.
· Strong analytical skills, including attention to detail, comfort working with data, and a commitment to data accuracy and consistency.
· Proactive problem‑solver who can identify issues early and escalate appropriately.
· Demonstrates intellectual and professional integrity, acting with accountability and reliability in all tasks.
· Adaptable and flexible and able to manage competing demands.
· Strong internal stakeholder management, able to coordinate with senior researchers, operations, project managers, and commercial teams.
· Excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills
· Technically curious, with an interest in learning new platforms and tools (e.g., survey scripting, dashboarding tools, or data processing workflows).
· Collaborative team contributor, willing to assist colleagues, share knowledge, and support overall team delivery.
· Organised and process‑driven, with a commitment to following quality frameworks such as ISO 20252 and internal SOPs.
