What you will do Â
- This skilled position involves installing, programming, troubleshooting, configuring, commissioning, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control and CCTV Systems as well as other related building system products at customer sites including panel repair/reprogram, device replacement/repair, resolving low voltage circuit troubles and system testingÂ
- Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks Â
- Position involves the programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels, but will primarily focus on networked fire alarm systems Â

How you will do itÂ
- Perform installation/programming on integrated security and fire alarm systemsÂ
- Respond to customer service calls in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshoot and repair as neededÂ
- Will be required to participate in after-hours service programÂ
- Communicate with central dispatch on current work order status and receive updates on outstanding customer issuesÂ
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manualsÂ
- Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer and contract specificationsÂ
- Complete necessary certification courses on internal and external products usedÂ
- Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely mannerÂ
What we look forÂ
RequiredÂ
- At least 5 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Security SystemsÂ
- High School Diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manualsÂ
- Experience with hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer and commissioning devicesÂ
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.Â
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.Â
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirementsÂ
- Overnight travel may be requiredÂ
- Demonstrate a high level of customer serviceÂ
- Ability to lead & work well with team membersÂ
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and proceduresÂ
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quicklyÂ
- Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirementsÂ
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug testÂ
- Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codesÂ
- Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures.Â
PreferredÂ
- Two-year Associates Degree in Electronics; Network; Computer Science or related fieldÂ
- NICET level II or ability to obtain in first yearÂ
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $29.13-$35.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
