This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Business Development Manager New Spaces in Eindhoven with Signify in the Intelligent Buildings team.

We are looking for a high-impact Business Development Manager to originate, shape, and scale new growth spaces across Europe.

This is not a role for incremental optimization—this is about creating net-new revenue streams, opening markets, and building strategic positions from the ground up.

  • Originate and close new business opportunities
    Proactively identify, qualify, and convert Emerging Spaces opportunities beyond lighting (e.g., data-driven services, sensing ecosystems).

  • Build and own a high-quality pipeline
    Develop a strong, forward-looking pipeline of strategic deals—balancing short-term wins with long-term platform plays.

  • Drive market expansion across Europe
    Lead growth with key end-users, partners, and CSI teams—unlocking new segments and replicable models across regions.

  • Develop and activate strategic partnerships
    Negotiate, and scale partnerships with software, platform, and ecosystem players.

  • Translate strategy into execution
    Lead early-stage market validation, pilots, and lighthouse projects—turning hypotheses into scalable commercial offerings.

  • Enable go-to-market at scale
    Equip regions and partners with compelling commercial propositions, training, and deal support to accelerate adoption.

You are a true hunter with a builder mindset—comfortable operating in ambiguity, energized by creating something new, and driven by commercial results.

    Demonstrated success in originating and closing new business (not just managing accounts), ideally in services, SaaS, or solution-based selling.

    Strong grasp of the intelligent buildings landscape (or adjacent industries), with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments (owners, operators, IT, FM, sustainability).

  • Entrepreneurial execution mindset
    You move from idea to deal—fast. You test, learn, iterate, and scale with discipline.

  • Strategic + commercial duality
    Able to think long-term (market positioning, partnerships, eco-system) while delivering short-term revenue impact.

  • Partnership builder
    Strong ability to identify, structure, and grow win-win ecosystem collaborations.

  • Resilience and adaptability
    Thrive in ambiguity, challenge the status quo, and persist through long sales cycles and evolving propositions.

  • Influence without authority
    Drive alignment across cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, legal, leadership) in a matrix organization.
