As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement by analyzing production processes, resolving technical issues, and supporting the production team to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure consistent product quality.

You will support the lean transformation of the factory through waste elimination and implementation of the Littelfuse Operating System at both shop floor and service levels. Your work will directly impact manufacturing performance in terms of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

About the Job:

  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production teams to identify and resolve process-related production issues, minimizing downtime and improving yield.

  • Take accountability for manufacturing line performance in terms of safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Analyze errors and deviations in production processes and implement effective corrective and preventive solutions.

  • Apply lean tools to eliminate waste and improve production flow.

  • Prepare technical reports, update work instructions, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

  • Identify and support automation projects related to cost reduction initiatives and capacity expansion programs.

  • Collaborate with product development teams to support cost estimation and design new manufacturing processes for new product introductions.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies to enhance manufacturing processes through automation and AI-driven improvements.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Management, or related Engineering field.

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role, specifically related to automatic assembly processes (e.g., pick & place systems, automatic feeders, pallet lines, 6-axis or SCARA robots).

  • Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial company.

  • Understanding of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems is a plus.

  • Familiar with lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

  • Open-minded and proactive in proposing new ideas and process improvements.

  • Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
